what is a nominee?

By buyandsellnumberplates

A nominee is a nominated person who may have a number plate transferred to them.

The nominee has no rights to a number plate and is a lesser party than the grantee or purchaser.

A nominee would be used to transfer a number plate to a vehicle not registered to the grantee or purchaser.

Nominees exist to allow number plates to be transferred from one person to another- usually when the plate is sold.

The nominee appears on both the V750 and V778 retention documents.
